Earthbound Earthbound
I don't have the Mother boxart here to be pretentious, I swear! It's just the only one I could fit into a square. Anyways, Earthbound is so awesome! It's really weird, like a feverdream, and I'm a huge fan of the music. Giygas is sufficiently horrifying, also.
Pokemon HeartGold Pokemon Heartgold
This is the best Pokemon game I've played so far. Better than Emerald, and I thought Emerald was great! The soundtrack is good, the sprites are pretty to look at, and there's no giant gaps in progression. You can get from one part of the game to the next with minimal grinding. Overall, it's just really fun. Also, Mareep is there.
Animal Crossing New Leaf Animal Crossing: New Leaf
Not as good as New Horizons (sorry...) but it's convenient to play while I'm outside of my house. It's a great game on its own, though! I enjoy filling out the museum, and the hourly music sounds good. I like the general "vibe" of the game more than New Horizons, though. It's a good game overall, very cute!
Kirby Nightmare in Dreamland Kirby: Nightmare in Dreamland
I think this is supposed to be a remake of Kirby's Adventure, which I haven't played. This game is really fun though! It's the third Kirby game I ever completed. The controls are alright, nothing exactly unique. The music and sprites are my absolute favorite! The game hits a kinda hilarious difficulty spike near the end, but its nothing I couldn't handle.
Pokemon Emerald Pokemon Emerald
The first non-2D Pokemon game I played. It's good, it's fun, it has Ralts in it. It has a whole buncha ROM hacks for it. It's the standard Pokemon experience. Or should be, at least. I don't know, I haven't played any new Pokemon game since Sun and Moon lol.
Kirby Super Star + Ultra Kirby: Super Star (Ultra)
I'm combining Super Star and Super Star Ultra into one entry because I don't wanna make another entry, since Ultra is a remake of Super Star. I prefer the first one out of nostalgia (I played it when I was younger using an emulator) but they're both really good! The sprite updates in Ultra are pretty, and the music in both are memorable. I just adore them both; absolutely my favorite Kirby games.
Wario Land 4 Wario Land 4
I've never played another Wario Land game before, but I've heard this is the best one. I'm not surprised, either! It's really fun and the puzzles are engaging. There's a bunch of potential in this game in particular, I hope they continue the series in the future!
Subnautica Subnautica
Subnautica is one of my favorite survival games! The idea is creative, and the design of the creatures actually look like creatures! For the most part, if these creatures existed on Earth, I wouldn't bat an eye. With the exception of the leviathans, I suppose. I mean c'mon, there's a mech suit with a grappling hook.
Hollow Knight Hollow Knight
I hate Metroid. This takes everything I hate about Metroid, and fixes it! The combat is satisfying yet punishing. Exploration feels fun, too! I love expanding my map. The movement is okay, but it's not supposed to be the best. All that matters is that it's responsive. It's like if Cuphead didn't hate you.
A Hat in Time A Hat in Time
A 3D platformer, and my favoritest game of all time!!! The platforming is exquisite, the characters are cute, and the music is my absolute favorite!! Genuinely, everyone should play this at least once in their life. People say it's Super Mario Odyssey for people who can't afford a Nintendo Switch. I say those people should kindly leave Earth and return to their home planet, like Hat Kid.
Splatoon 2 Splatoon 2 + Octo Expansion
I love the Splatoon series, but this is my favorite entry. Octo Expansion's ending still sends shivers (Splat3 reference) down my spine. Pearl is my favorite idol, ABXY/Chirpy Chips is my favorite band, and I main dualies. The regular storymode is okay, but the Spicy Calamari Inkantation is my favorite one. Hardcore Splatoon fan.
Dying Light Dying Light
SHUT! UP! Okay!? I know I'm all cutesy, and this is a horror-adjacent game with blood and stuff. But it's SO! GOOD! It's a parkour game with a skill tree system and zombies. I used to love zombie stuff when I was younger. Anyways, this game is so fun, and the characters are all memorable! The company behind it, Techland, is sort of owned by Tencent though... so probably don't buy it...
Jet Set Radio Future Jet Set Radio Future
The gameplay of this game is objectively AWFUL!!! The controls are clumsy, and the main objectives are boring to complete. Easy solution, just don't play the main objectives. That's what I do. The controls clash with the intended objectives, in my opinion. It's like how Super Mario tries to be a momentum platformer but also blocks every attempt at gaining momentum. Fortunately, this game is moderately open-world-ish! That is to say, you don't have to do the objective. You can do what you want. Become ungovernable. Gain unlimited momentum and hit pedestrians. Also, the songs are freaking awesome.
The Ori Collection The Ori Collection
I'm not writing both of the names because they're too long. Same thing I wrote with Hollow Knight, I hate Metroid. This game crushes Metroid into a fine powder, and then mixes it into water to create some sort of well-rendered drink. Really well-rendered. Every second of this game looks like a wall poster. The music is good, the graphics are beautiful, and the gameplay consists of the best 2D platforming/combat I've ever played. Genuinely, just play it.

Shows

Hilda Hilda
I was really into this show when I was younger. Even still, I think it's really cute! The creatures designs are creative, and it got me really into folklore for a while. I think, when I was really young, I remember reading the graphic novels at my school library. I use "Hilda" (and "Aster") as placeholder names for my OCs to this day.
Orb: On the Movements of the Earth Orb: On the Movements of the Earth
This show is genuinely life-changing. It follows 4 separate protagonists: Rafal first, then Oczy, then Draka, then Albert. Albert is the protagonist of the epilogue episodes which are dubiously canon. In my opinion, the show ends at episode 23, since it has the perfect conclusion. Each protagonist carries the story forward, and ultimately affects the story of the next protagonist. It's the whole theme of the show! Everyone should watch this at least once.
Over the Garden Wall Over the Garden Wall
This is probably among my favorite television shows on this list. It's a halloween classic, obviously, but it also hit deeply. I have a little brother, and the show made me realize that I hadn't been the best big sister to him. I love it when a show changes my perspective on something in real life, and this one was very important. It almost brought me to tears. The Beast is my favorite villain of all time, and in my opinion it represents death. I definitely think there was some inferencing to be made that The Beast also represented suicide. The music is also well-composed, and I listen to it in my free time.
Panty and Stocking with Garterbelt Panty and Stocking with Garterbelt
Typically I'm not into gross-out humor, but the way it's delivered in this show actually makes me laugh. Not out loud, but in spirit. The artstyle is unique for anime, and kinda looks like Space Patrol Luluco. Where most people choose exclusively either Panty or Stocking to fangirl over, I actually like both equally. While I never expected to be actually engaged in the plot of an adult comedy, I love love LOVED the finale. Of season 1, at least, I haven't watched season 2 yet.
Smile Precure Smile Precure
Smile Precure was my introduction to the wider world of anime, and was my second anime in general. My first being Pokemon. Unthinkable, I know. Anyways, I still rewatch it every so often. Well, let me get one thing straight: I watched Glitter Force when I was younger, which is the far inferior localization of Smile Precure. The one I rewatch is Smile Precure. Kise is my favorite of the Cures, and if I had superpowers, they would be electricity themed.
Bungou Stray Dogs Bungou Stray Dogs
This show had me losing it. It's technically a detective show, but the only actual detectives are Ranpo and Dazai. And they just know everything instantly somehow. Shawn Spencer with the SBPD I guess. Anyways, the show is about a superpowered detective agency where each character is named after a famous classical literature author and is based on one of their works. It got me into classical literature, so that's a plus. Ranpo is my favorite character because of his backstory and design, and Fyodor is my most hated character because he just won't die and everything happens to be part of his master plan somehow.
